For Urgent Care Centers

Veterinary Teleradiology Built for Urgent Care

Urgent care runs on fast decisions, walk-in volume and changing shifts. RadsForVets is designed around exactly those moments: answers while the patient is still in the building, reports that lead with the conclusion, and a radiologist reachable in seconds.

Answers while the patient is still in the building

In urgent care, the question is often simple and immediate: admit, discharge, refer or treat. RadsForVets offers three submission priorities so the read matches the decision in front of you.

  • Wet Read: the fastest option, read while you wait. Submit a focused, indication-specific question and get it answered. Learn more in what a Wet Read is.
  • STAT: 1 hour for X-ray and Fluoroscopy; within 4 hours for CT, Ultrasound and MR.
  • Standard: within 24 hours for stable patients.

All modalities, all priorities. Exotics are read on a 24-hour best-effort basis.

The conclusion first, for every shift

Every RadsForVets report puts prioritized diagnoses and recommendations first, followed by comprehensive findings. A doctor finishing a shift, and the doctor picking up the case, both see the answer at the top of the page instead of searching for it.

Real-Time Chat instead of phone tag

A busy urgent care floor has no time for busy signals, voicemail or hold. Real-Time Chat sits on each study and reaches the radiologist in seconds. Each case has three tabs: Clinic and Radiologist, Clinic and Ops Team, and Radiologists and Ops Team, with a Resolved status once the question is closed.

Help explaining findings to families

Many reports include a short video from the radiologist walking through the images. It gives your doctors a clear way to explain findings to a worried owner in the exam room.

Workflow, without the work!

Reports are injected into the matching radiology order in ezyVet and Instinct, so your front desk and technicians are not re-typing or copy/pasting results. RadsForVets is steadily adding to that list of PIMS systems. See how matching-order reports work.

Board-certified on every case

Every case, STAT or not, is read by an ACVR- or ECVDI-certified radiologist from a global team of radiologists. We're always here, 24/7/365.

Frequently asked questions

Is RadsForVets available when our urgent care center is open late or on weekends?

Yes. RadsForVets reads 24/7/365. It's the same on Sunday at 3 AM as it is on Wednesday at 3 PM.

Which priority should an urgent care center choose for a patient waiting on a decision?

Choose Wet Read when the decision depends on a focused answer now; it is the fastest option, read while you wait. Choose STAT for a full report within 1 hour for X-ray and Fluoroscopy or within 4 hours for CT, Ultrasound and MR. Choose Standard, within 24 hours, when the patient is stable.

What is a Wet Read?

A wet-read is one where the clinic submits targeted, indication-specific questions which are specifically addressed by the radiologist. The clinic can request that the radiologist either make a call, or send a 'wet-read' report. The same radiologist will provide the comprehensive final report before shift's end.

How do we reach the radiologist with a question about a case?

Use Real-Time Chat on the study. It reaches the radiologist in seconds, with no busy signal, voicemail, email or hold, and separate tabs connect your team with the radiologist and with the Operations Team.

How do reports help when doctors change shifts?

Every report opens with prioritized diagnoses and recommendations first, followed by comprehensive findings, so an incoming doctor can see the conclusion immediately.

Do reports go straight into our practice software?

Reports are injected into the matching radiology order in ezyVet and Instinct, and RadsForVets is steadily adding to that list of PIMS systems.

Are there contracts or minimum volumes?

No. There are no contracts and no minimums. You can start on your next study.
